FAQs

How many people does Lottie sleep?

Lottie sleeps up to 4 people and there are various options, all very comfortable and cosy!

The double bed is above the living area and moves up and down at the touch of a button. The rear sleeping area is separated by a door and can be made up as two single beds or using some clever inserts can be one huge (at least king size) bed.

Beds are made up ready for you and all bedding and towels are included. For smaller children we can provide a bed guard for the rear bed.

Do you accept dogs?

Yes! We are very happy to accept dogs as we understand that a big part of adventuring is having our doggie friends with us. Dogs are allowed on the seats ( as long as you cover them with the blankets provided) and the floor ( we take away the carpets in the living area so you don’t have to worry about mucky feet on carpets) but not on beds. Up to two doggie guests (dependent on size!) welcome for free as long as you tell us in advance.

Where can we go with Lottie?

Wherever you want!! Lottie is now insured to go to Europe and is looking forward to visiting France, Switzerland and Italy soon!
We love being beside the seaside on our holidays so our favourite spots are Dornoch, the Isle of Arran, the Moray coast, Gairloch and the villages around Fife.
Lottie has spent quite a lot of time in Aviemore as it’s handy to get to and has loads to do, she has done the scenic NC500 a number of times in various configurations and has also ventured as far as Windsor!
We supply advice, maps and campsite directories and can help you plan and book your holiday in advance or you can just head off and see where you end up! At least you know you’ve got a comfy bed and a warm shower wherever you are!

* Due to the current situation we would advise booking campsites in advance as they do get very busy, especially in peak season!*

How much does it cost to hire Lottie?

There is no definitive answer for this one as each quote is personalised and we offer discounts depending on various things including number of people in the party/length of hire/how nicely you ask!

However our basic starting point is a flat rate of £200 per booking plus £100 per night in peak season ( April to October) with a massive 25% off per night November to March. So a week’s hire in peak season would be £900 with a 3 night weekend £500. Or off-peak a week would be £725 and a 3 night weekend £425. Our minimum hire is 2 nights.

These prices include insurance, unlimited mileage within the UK, bedding, towels and all kitchenware and outdoor equipment that we think you’ll need.

We ask for £150 on booking to secure your hire and the remainder of your fee is due 8 weeks before the start of your hire.

We also ask for a £750 security deposit when you pick up the motorhome. We very much hope that you look after Lottie inside and out and that we don't need to use it. I always suggest that the easiest thing to do is to write me a cheque and hopefully I wont have to cash it and can just return it to you when you bring Lottie back safe and sound! However you can also pay by card or bank transfer.

How can I book?

Easy peasy! First thing to do is to check whether the dates you want are available by clicking 'Check Availability' on the home page. We accept hires of any length from 2 nights plus, and are flexible on start days. If the dates you want are available all you need to do is email me or call me (details below) and let me know the dates you are looking at, how long you would like to go for, an idea of where you’re going ( if you know) and how many of you there are and any dogs you are taking. Either way I will get back to you ASAP with a quote and if you want to go ahead I will send you a booking form. Fill it in and send it back to me along with £150 deposit and that’s it - you’re booked! Then you can start planning where you want to go and what you want to do! If you need any advice on routes or campsites we are always ready to help! So, get planning your next adventure! Can’t wait to hear from you!
